Meet our Director, Michelle Cherryhomes
Michelle, and her husband, Andy both grew up in Pickerington and met each other here at Trinity Family Life Center. Their continued love for the Pickerington community has kept them here living in Pickerington. Together they keep very active, and have been blessed with four very busy children Jake, Anna, Grace, and Sarah. Building a strong foundation of faith with in their home and family is very important to Michelle. While spending time together as a family, they enjoy many fun activities such as camping, boating, and hiking as well as attending swim meets, orchestra concerts and football games. Michelle and her husband have been attending and actively involved in many areas of ministry here at our church for over 40 years. Currently, Michelle continues to serve as the Children’s Ministry Director here at Trinity Church. As the director of children’s ministry, she enjoys the opportunity to provide children’s programs that support the families, while strengthening, and encouraging each child’s individual relationship with the Lord.
Michelle graduated from Columbus Christian High School and then went on to attend Ohio University where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Arts with an emphasis in Social Science and a concentration in Early Childhood education. Since graduating, Michelle has had many professional opportunities that has equipped her for starting a Christian Preschool for Trinity. Previously, Michelle has been the Director for KinderCare Learning Center in Pickerington which had an active enrollment of 80 – 100 children. She also has enjoyed being a preschool and a pre-kindergarten teacher. She has well over 20 years’ experience in the early childhood field. Another opportunity that Michelle enjoyed was her health care experience as a Nurse’s Aide for the Postpartum Unit at Grant Medical Center.
In addition to her role as the Children’s Ministry Director, Michelle started and developed Trinity Learning Center Preschool LLC. As the Director of the preschool it’s clear she has been called by God to make a difference in the lives of children. Michelle has a strong passion for equipping pre-school children with a Christian curriculum that prepares them for public/private education. It is her vision to show children and their families God’s love while providing a warm and nurturing environment in preparation for the next step in their journey of learning.
